All eyes on the 2019 Nittany Lion Defense….  Heading into the season, linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos are legitimate All-America candidates.  These two standouts will anchor a defense that may be the best in the Big Ten.  Linebacker position promises to be the strength of the defense, with Parsons and the return of starters Jan Johnson and Cam Brown.  There’s plenty of talent along the defensive line, allowing Coach Sean Spencer to field a solid five-man rotation.  For the past two seasons, Coach Brent Pry’s defenses have finished in the nation’s top-20.  Word this spring from Coach James Franklin is this may be the best defense he’s been around, in his 25 years of coaching.
