Nittany Networking Event: Experience Philly Together This Holiday Season
There is no doubt that like almost every other celebration and event in 2020, this holiday season is going to be different. If you are new to Philadelphia or a long-time resident, you may be wondering what there is to do, see, or experience virtually. You may also want to know what has reopened under new socially distanced guidelines. Will there be a Mummer’s Parade (what’s a mummer?!)? What outdoor activities are available – ice skating anyone? How about places to have a special meal or drink? Can I encourage my professional association to meet in Philadelphia next year? And, where can I connect with other Penn Staters either online or in person?! This event will be via Zoom on Monday Nov 23, 2020, 7 – 8:30 PM EST.
Join Penn State Alum Gregg Caren (HRIM ’84), President & Chief Executive Officer of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Kristina Jenkins, Vice President, Digital Content & Strategy for VISIT PHILADELPHIA, as they share what to expect in Philly for the holiday season and look ahead to 2021. This is a great opportunity to connect with Penn Staters in the area and learn about ways to experience the holiday season together, or make plans for a future visit to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.
The webinar will provide networking opportunities to allow you to meet with our leaders from our local Penn State alumni groups as well as make random connections with other attendees.
This is a free webinar you don’t want to miss as you learn ways to share your traditions or find new ways to experience the city – even virtually!
