On Tuesday, April 24th, our Chapter is excited to provide a unique networking opportunity for our alumni at the Morris County Library in Whippany from 6:30P.M. to 8:30P.M. We are very fortunate to be able to provide a Resume Workshop, that will be presented by two local alumni that combined have over 50 years professional experience in Human Resources. A short informative presentation followed by one on one resume reviewing will be available for all those in attendance.
Our volunteer presenters are as follows:
Jack Beighley is an accomplished Human Resources and Sales professional, having successfully built and led firm wide University Relations and Recruiting programs for Deloitte Consulting and Bank of America Securities. He then moved into business development at Right Management, the HR consulting firm, partnering with clients to identify and solve business issues critical to their continued success and growth. Currently, he consults in the areas of outplacement and career transition. Jack holds a BA in English from Penn State and am MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is also part of a Penn State family as his father, siblings and wife are all Nittany Lions.
Karen Jezierski is a 1985 graduate of Penn State with a BS in Business Management and a minor in Psychology. Her entire career has been spent in the recruiting industry working for Raymond Alexander Associates and RAA Temps, a business her father founded in 1970. Throughout her career, Karen has placed and coached thousands of candidates on resume writing and interview preparation. She’s worked with candidates searching for jobs in a variety of industries and disciplines. With more than 30 years in the recruiting business, Karen continues to promote the practice of providing personal assistance to every candidate and enjoys career coaching and mentoring. Karen resides in Wayne with her husband Brian, a PSU Petroleum Engineer grad. She also has a daughter Taylor that graduated Penn State in 2015 (Broadcast Journalism) and her son, Austin, is currently attending Penn State. Karen and Brian love Happy Valley and are huge Nittany Lion sports fans. They own a home in State College, are football season ticket holders, and enjoyed traveling to The Big Ten Championship, The Rose Bowl and The Fiesta Bowl to cheer the Nittany Lions on!
Other highlights of the event are networking opportunities, door prize giveaways, and light refreshments.
