Liberal Arts Mentor Program
What the Program Is:
The program is a collaborative effort between the Career Enrichment Network and Alumni Relations in the College of the Liberal Arts, and matches current undergraduate Liberal Arts students with alumni in a field related to their major and/or career interests. Mentors do not have to be local; students speak with their mentors once a month via phone, Skype, and in-person meetings if possible.
How You Can Help Students:
- Serve as a resource, provide guidance, and share your expertise to promote student success.
- Act as a sounding board, assist with internship and job searches, and encourage students to development new skills
- Talk to students about post-PSU life and their future plans
- Remain connected to the College and University by working with students, attending on-campus events, and participating in other career development opportunities.
Leave a Legacy and Make an Impact:
You can foster and support the next generation of Penn State and Liberal Arts alumni. Give back with your time, commitment, and knowledge. There are many talented students who are beginning to think about post-graduation plans and are interested in connecting with alumni. Students greatly appreciate the dedication alumni have to helping current Nittany Lions achieve their goals!

Alumni Admissions Volunteer Program
Alumni admissions volunteers assist the Undergraduate Admissions Office in recruiting qualified students for Penn State. It is the “personal touch” by alumni volunteers that often encourages students to apply to Penn State and accept an offer of admission. Our volunteers help us recruit by attending college fairs, receptions for students and parents in their local communities and by participating in ‘LionsRoar’ which is making phone calls or sending emails to students with offers of admission; congratulating them and offering ourselves as a resource for families.
